Origin / Destination Terms:

• • R - Residence from exterior door or curb

  • B - Business with regular M - F hours for release or receipt of parcels and a dock or forklift for freight

  • S - Station established by parcel carriers for dropping off/picking up parcels of less than 10 cubic feet or 150 lbs

  • T - Terminal, or Central Freight Station Terminal that receive/release domestic freight or international freight/parcels

  • P - Port includes airports, ocean ports of unlading and inland ocean container yards

  • Example: R2B would reflect service originating from a Residence, to a Business

Modes

• • AEX - Air Economy Express (generally a door2door parcel service involving R, B and S;

  • AFT - Air Freight (typically international service and may have any type of origin or destination;

  • LCL - Less than Container Freight (ocean freight service in shared container)

  • LTL - Less Than Truckload (shared truck freight service);

  • FTL / PTL - (Full or Partial Truckload where cargo is not cross docked from trailers at terminals);

  • FCL - Full ocean Container Load (20DV, 40DV, 40HC, OG over gauge and FL flat rack);

  • ROR - Roll on Roll off (land via trailer or vehicle hauler, or ocean via RORO vessel;

  • PAR - Parcels by ground courier service.
